On 2 July 2011 Castewatch held another of its typical hatefests in Coventry . Ostensibly designed as always to discuss caste discrimination in Britain , it once again degenerated into the usual fulminations against the evils of Hinduism and Hindus. This is why Hindus are only welcome at such events if they “know their place” and avoid indulging in the twin evils of talking and speaking too much. Sinna Mani (President of BOPIO and ex-Mayor of Lewisham) stated the following in his speech at the CasteWatchUK Conference July 2nd, 2011.

Perhaps by the time you read this they would have taken it down or removed the offending portions, as is the case when hate groups get exposed. His eugenics was complimented by a crass racial mythology in which he claimed Brahmins had pleaded with Alexander the Great no to dismantle the caste system when he conquered India . But the Macedonian conqueror had never actually done any of this and historical records are clear that he was actually defeated in his attempts to subdue the entire subcontinent.whites only events. Would she therefore also agree that Mr. Mani’s anti-Brahmin poison coated rhetoric was racist? Reena Jessiah disgustingly links the whole Hindu ethos to anti-Semitism in her poem which is an almost exact replica of that by Pastor Martin Niemoller who was incarcerated by the Nazis for speaking out against them – even though he initially hailed Hitler as a German messiah and felt Jews had too much power. Rena Annobil then recites a poem in which she claims the existence of the barbaric “Aryan” race.

Also Sinna Mani should read Buddhist canon instead of bullshitting, in the earliest discourses Buddha even advocates incest to preserve the purity of his Kshatriya lineage which he regards as superior, so much for equality eh!
To those who doubt my claim, please read the Ambatta sutta (translated by Rhys Davids) which is a discourse Buddha has with a Brahmin named Ambatta. I could paraphrase the whole discourse here but it would make it too long.

Mr David Prasad, you have very casual understanding of Hinduism, although you were born Hindu, but fail to preserve your own Religion to be promoted in other religion, that’s the only fact that you failed your own people.
If one is born what is called higher cast, what that means that you are a priest, you will never agree to go and clean public toilets, would you? Now who is going to do that? And if you were one of the unskilled worker you don’t expect to get the same pay as your boss or treated same, would you, so if you don’t get the same money as your boss you are not going to well off, all these people are just manual workers? Just for the record, Cinna Mani is not a member of Castewatch UK, he was a guest speaker at this conference and the views which he has put forward are his own, not those of Castewatch UK. I would also like to remind you that there was a large number of hindus present at this conference, many of which expressed opinions during the Q and A session and afterwards, the suggestion of only letting hindus “who know their place” is out of the question. This conference was based around the next steps for getting caste included in the single equallity bill. Mr Mani was one of many speakers who expressed his *personal opinions* which do not neccesseraly reflect those of castewatch. As for quoting Reena Jaisiah and Rena Annobil, the quotes were from poems (one of which was featured in a play) which the author of this article has conveniently presented out of context.

It is a predictable response by a fundamentalist who feels threatened by the ‘lower castes’ finally having a voice, so it does not surprise us the venom that the writer spews. If he thinks that this sort of bullying,intimidating and name calling will scare us, well it is not going to cower us anymore. These are the very same tactics including violence that they have used for hundreds of years to keep this section of the society subjugated. Arjun: There is no evidence for Castewatch being a “Hindu hate group”, if you’re going by the statements of Sinna Muni it’s a void argument as he’s not a member of the organisation, the comments he made were in no way endorsed by Castewatch.
Mayawati may be doing a sterling job, and that’s brilliant, it’s a step forward that everyone should take inspiration from. However it doesn’t change the fact that there are cases in the UK of people being harassed in the work place on grounds of Caste. These people deserve some kind of legal safety net, so they can take some kind of action if they need to. Castewatch’s aim is to bring about this change in the law. Simply to individuals experiencing Caste discrimination have a safety net.
So, you might say there is no caste discrimination, or even that Castewatch is distorting things. Well If that’s true then surely having Caste included in the Single Equality Bill surely wouldn’t make a difference anyway, as there would be no issues to report. Castewatch isn’t a “Hindu Hate Group”, the way the author and half the people commenting are talking you’d think the organisation was trying to ban Hinduism altogether!

This is the problem with some of the pests like Mushtaq who don’t have religious tolerence. Remember the words of Swami Vivekananda at religious conference, he gives a beautiful example of two frogs one living in a pond, the other in a sea and their arguments about which is biggest? whether the pond or the sea. He tells that for a frog of the pond, the pond is biggest and the frog of the sea, the sea is biggest. Then he concludes by telling that let a Hindu be a Hindu and get salvation in his own ways and let a Mohammedan be a Mohammedan and reach his destination in his own ways.
This is very true as we have different languages, at different locations, to express same feelings; so is the different names to the same God at different locations with different traditions and we have to respect each other’s religion.

There are many such practices in Islam to comment, but I have religious tolerance and I can understand that there are some genuine reasons behind implementing such customs. The Veda declares in the first hymn that Lord Mahadeva (Shiva) was a vratya, who got later elevated to the level of the Chief Vratya and lord of gods (AV, 15.1).

Vedic Maharshi Kavasha Ailusha was not only born in a shudra family but also practicing shudra, just like Sant Ravidas of our age. But he was offered the presiding seat on the occasion of a great congregation of Vedic rishis, where? all of them considered him the best of all rishis.
