On August 13, 2014, the Indian National Congress led by Mallikarjun Kharge tried to push their agenda regarding their proposed communal violence bill (CBV) in the Lok Sabha (see our article on the Communal-Violence Bill for context). One of Kharge’s main points was that communal violence has skyrocketed since PM Modi took his oath and in essence, he alleges that Modi is a polarizing force who causes communal violence. Therefore, please pass the CBV bill drafted by the Congress Party’s NAC to fix everything. Kharge’s arguments were considered so boring that Rahul Gandhi fell asleep during the deliberation.
And then came Yogi Adityanath, the honourable MP from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh! The Yogi went into attack mode as he pounded the Congress with hard hitting rhetoric.
Below is a summary of some of his key quotes:
- “After the BJP took oath, the citizen’s hope and trust in government has increased tremendously!”
- “Policing is squarely in the hands of the State Government. However, the centre has a responsibility to speak up when it sees atrocities being perpetrated in states when those states are not doing enough to handle the situations.”
- “Congress must apologize to the nation and to the people of Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, and Maharashtra where they stood silent and watched communal violence spread.”
- “Must we remind the Congress of how it has attempted demographic engineering in the Northeast for votebanking purposes?”
- “Must we remind the Congress that the maximum cases of terrorism and communal violence have occured during their or their allies’ tenure? We haven’t forgotten what you did to the Sikhs in 1984. Meerut, Saharanpur, Muzzafarnagar, Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur, and blasts in Sankat Mochan & Gorakhpur are all fresh in our memory. You tried every effort to get your culprit friends exonerated. But thank god for the courts!”
- “The party that runs on a platform of secularism actually has a communal polarization agenda. For example, there are over 1.2 million Sadhus, Saints, and Priests in India but why does the Congress only support Imams?”
- “Congress and its allies divide the nation based on religion. Uttar Pradesh has provided a 20% Muslim reservation on all projects. There is also a Rs 300 cr. allocation towards Muslim cemetery boundary wall projects, which creates much friction in countless villages. The Supreme Court has even stated that handing over “Saarvajanik Sampatthi” or global commons (temples, mosques, seminaries) to specific communities is wrong! So why is the SP government in Uttar Pradesh doing so?”
- “If thrashing patriots like Baba Ramdev during rallies where they chant vandemataram is secularism, then to hell with it!”
- “The Congress/SP brand of secularism requires banning loud speakers in temples and adding them to mosques”
- “When an Indian Muslim goes on Hajj, he is known by his Hindu identity and not as a Bhaaratiya, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi!”
- “Hindutva is the national ideology that binds the nation and so its citizenry are all Hindus. We have paid the price of not understanding this so far.”
- “Rabindranath Tagore once said that to know India, one must know and understand Swami Vivekananda. And Swami Vivekananda advised us to wake up and say that we are proud of being Hindus.”
- “It is the Hindu who says that all paths lead to the truth! Which other group says that? We believe in live and let live. We truly believe that the whole world is our family.”
- “Congress seems to work at the behest Pakistan.”
- “To find out all the truths about communal violence in India, I suggest creating an SIT to investigate exactly who is behind this.”
Below you can view Yogi Adityanath’s entire August 13th speech in the Lok Sabha:
Yogi Adityanath has firmly demonstrated that not all holy men and women of Sanatana Dharma are passive pushovers. His speech in Lok Sabha gives patriotic Indians hope that a better tomorrow is not far away.

I have circulated this Video with P. Devimutthu’s Questions to “seculars” exposing them. This Video should be on ALL HINDU SITES. We Hindus should understand the psychology of Public influence. Rather than distributing the efforts here and there, we should focus, target attack focus on this Italian Christian Boko Harami sonia and her Congress (ISIL), SHARPLY focussing on the evil Khooni italian Panja and the Commie-Media businesses of this Italian mafia don sonia, behind all Jihadi, Naxalite, terrorist, Violence activities. MAKE ALL ANTI NATIONAL, ANTI HINDU ACTIVITES a synonym with SONIA-COMMIE nexus, e.g communal violence in Saharanpur IS sonia hand with anti national Mulayam working on some sinister plan. Some day Hindu Threshold will boil and instead Hindus will attack the Congi-Commie and “Mafia associates”. SONIA-RAUL-BIANCA-DOGVIJAY are responsible for all ills, because they are Anti National and foreign nationals. SPECIALLY FILLED WITH HALF HARAMI (WHITE) HALF HINDUSTANIS, DUAL Nationals or people with foreign spouses. ALL CONGI EX MINISTERS WILL BE COVERED
First of all I would like to point out that the Yogi was wrong in saying that Indians are refered to as Hindus in Saudi Arabia when they go to perform Hajj.
Indians are not refered to Hindus , but Hindis ( the native of Hind -India) , India is known as Hind in Arabic and the natives of Hind are Hindis not hindus.. In fact Hind is a given name to females in the Arab world.
I believe when one is addressing the Parliament , he should have the facts right. rather then defending a wrong idea vociferously
The charge of the BJP has always been that the Muslims are being pampered , if this was the case then the plight of muslims should have been totally different.
I accept the Yogiji’s statement that India has always embraced every race and religion because of its hindu flavour , then why should one be bent on destroying the fabric of this great nation.
Driving a particular community to the wall will only make them react, and this is not good for nation building
We should rather stick to Saab Ka saath, “Saab ka Vikas”.
Disturbing the fabric of our society will destroy this great nation.
There will be no peace when there is conflict.
Lets be gracious and not try to stereo type a community or people., we should also not try to impose our views and beliefs on others.. Others too have a view.of their own.
The greatness of this nation is its diversity, which no other country on this planet can boost of , so lets not destroy this valuable possesion.
When will we ever dispense with religions and think of progress only as one team, one nation?
There was no need for this debate at all. The Congress starts it and the BJP counters or vice versa. So much heat and end result zero. So much wastage of national parliament hours in debating past topics which could have been spent on talking about solving problems, proposing action plans etc. Totally unprofessional approach in the conduct of parliament. There should be some rules about what should be discussed in parliament and MPs should give their prepared speech for vetting by an Independent Agency before it is aired.
Or better still, an AGenda should be prepared on topics based on Development topics, Reducing Black Money and ways and means to prevent corruption – Actual action plans rather than rhetoric. I think it will never happen and we will continue to see such meaningless debates which leads nowhere only. Jai Hind
Now that BJP has no more Rajya Sabha excuses we shall see. However, essential Constitutional amendments to expunge casteism, communalism, inequality under law, exceptions to the rule of law, “many Nations”, non accountability of the Judiciary, Bureaucracy and Police to law and morality, and so on from the Constitutiona and laws to make all Indians equal are probably still a mirage. But, I am proud of Adityanath and Modi and hope they will be able to make this a reality.
