(CHAKRA) The first World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) North American conference took place in the Southern USA financial hub Dallas, Texas. Tt was the first conference of its kind where Hindu entrepreneurs across different business domains came together at one platform to network, share and collaborate in making Hindu society prosperous. Prominent businessman and venture capitalists from Texas were present at the conference. The event was hosted by the World Hindu Foundation – North America.
World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) is dedicated towards making society prosperous. It envisions amity and unanimity among business community, industry, academic and political organizations at local and international levels. that domain. It leverages a networking model among Hindu entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, financiers, technocrats and academics to promote information, resources and intellectual property sharing which leads to the increase in wealth among the Hindu community on a worldwide scale. For example at this conference when one prospective entrepreneur suggested a business plan about Hindu Media at the WHEF conference, he received instant support for the request of high end servers and networks from another businessman who deals in a similar industry.
The Dallas based World Hindu Foundation team joined via virtual meeting and provided key inputs on integrating Canadian based businessman with the World Hindu Economic Forum. WHEF looks forward to expanding and integrating more and more Hindu entrepreneurs in the North American Regional chapter into its global fold and plans to conduct more conferences within the USA and Canada in near future.

WHEF has been established to make society prosperous through the generation and sharing of surplus wealth. The Forum facilitates sharing of knowledge through reputed economic thinkers, and well established business-persons of the world. The Forum also provides a common platform for strategic and management professionals, industrialists, traders, bankers, investors, technocrats, scientists and economists for creating a prosperous global society and eradicating human misery across the world. WHEC-2012 was attended by over 250 prominent businesspersons, industrialists, economists, bankers, international traders, and business association leaders from different countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Pacific region. Dr. Subramanian Swamy former Union Minister of Commerce and Law in the Government of Bharat and an alumnus & professor of the Harvard Universitydelivering the keynote address in the conference argued that the world needs a new economic agenda based on ethical framework in lieu of current greed-based model to propel and expand global economies. Prof (Dr.) Gautam Sen of London School of Economics emphasized the need to organize Hindu economy not only for creating wealth, but also for promoting economic equity across the world and help underdeveloped countries, and communities. Prof (Dr.) R. Vaidyanathan, Professor of Finance at IIM Bangalore elaborated the linkages between the ongoing economic crisis in the Western world and the breakdown of the institution of family in Western societies. He saw these crises as an opportunity for reinventing global economic model founded which is more feminine, eco-friendly, relationship driven and community oriented. Shri Subhash Thakrar Chairman London Chamber of Commerce and Industry briefed the delegates about emerging sectors of business in current turbulent world. He identified Africa as the next area which could witness significant economic growth and boom.
