Sacremento, California (CHAKRA)— After being shot to death, a Sikh man’s funeral had hundreds of attendees paying their respects. In the Sacramento area, a Sikh man was shot to death while talking an afternoon stroll.

Surinder Singh, an innocent man, decided to take a walk one afternoon, not aware of the fact that this would be his last walk ever. His funeral had several hundred attendees who came to pay their last respects from all over the city.

On March 4th, 65-year-old Singh and his 78-year-old friend, Gurmej Atwal, were taking a walk in the Elk Grove neighbourhood, when both men were shot. Singh died and Atwal was critically wounded.

Police are investigating and are looking into the possibility of a random hate crime against the two men because they were wearing turbans and both had long beards. Sikhs have been common targets for hate crimes in the USA ever since 9/11 due to the fact that  many Islamic terrorists also have beards and wear turbans, such as Osama Bin Laden.

No arrests have yet been made but there is a reward of $42 000 for any tips given that will lead to an arrest and conviction.
