Hindus, upset by the Bigoted and Hinduphobic display at a Dairy Queen (DQ) restaurant in Kemah, Texas are asking the International Dairy Queen Inc. CEO John P. Gainor Junior to issue a formal apology and arrange to remove the displays.
Dairy Queen and its Pakistani-American Kemah, Texas location owner, Mohammed Dar, continued to promote his bigotry and hate against Hindus in televised interviews taken by local Houston news channels. These statements from Mohammed Dar were given inside his Dairy Queen, creating a strong association with the respected DQ brand.
After the news reports and interviews were published, thousands took to Twitter and Facebook to express their sadness and frustration Dairy Queen had not put a stop to this escalation of hate. Many Hindus even tweeted fear for attacks of hate as DQ owner Mohammed Dar had stated that over 200 customers come to his store daily for 6 months and acknowledged his signed, with mostly positive or neutral reception. If this is true, that means that Dairy Queen is partly responsible for promoting religious hatred and instigating calls for genocide on Hindus to over 36,000 Americans.
Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement from Nevada today, said that DQ should not be in the business of disparaging religions. Posters reportedly displayed at its Kemah store in Texas were highly inappropriate and trivialized the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents and a highly philosophical thought. There are over 3 million Hindus in USA and Canada.
Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, indicated that DQ should have shown some responsibility and already taken action regarding these signs posted at the Kemah restaurant reportedly for many months.
Rajan Zed pointed out that DQ seemed to have even failed to follow its own “Mission Statement: To create positive memories for all who touch DQ” by allowing such derogatory signs at one of its restaurants.
