Anti-India Sentiments – The Masterminds Behind the Scene

New Delhi, India – The arrest of Gulam Nabi Fai, an ISI-backed lobbyist, in the US has opened up a Pandoras Box. What will now follow will be a series of discoveries of all those people who are linked with Anti-India activities propogated by Fai. These could include big names. Since two decades it is know that Fai was an ISI agent and still the Government of India did not take this matter for serious consideration.

The FBI in its affidavit before the US court alleged that Fai received hundreds and thousands of dollars from the ISI and the Government of Pakistan with the sole objective of molding the view of American policy makers on Kashmir. Where does ISI get all the money from? This is how it works. The US funds Pakistan for various aid related purposes. In turn, Pakistan gives the money to its Intelligence agency the ISI. The ISI sends the money to conduct seminars and conferences in many different parts of the world including the US. In this manner the money is poured back to the US illegally.

Fai, an Indian from Kashmir, now a US national, organised conferences and seminars to put forward the viewpoint on Kashmir. Although his viewpoint brought forward the Pakistani sentiment on Kashmir rather than the sentiment of real Kashmir itself. He did not disclose his Pakistani connections to the US Government. ISI had been funding his activities and his project, The Kashmir American Council. Many eminent personalities were invited for the seminars which were held in the US. Not only were they invited, they were given an all paid free trip to attend the seminars. The people from India who accepted the invitation and attended the seminars are national figures. It is very saddening to see that such an educated nation as us does not include national security and national prestige in its agenda.

Zafar Hilani, Former Ambassador to the United States from Pakistan, in a debate on a talk show said that he was very proud that the money was funded for the cause. He said all Pakistanis are united and will stand by the cause. We, Indians, are the world’s largest population and surely if we stand united for any cause, there isnt anything that can stop us. But we hail from a country of non violence and of Gandhi. We have always tried to maintain peace and keep friendly relations with Pakistan.

As they say one breakthrough could lead to another. With the arrest of Fai the following information could be revealed:

1. The ISI Funding Network worldwide

2. Whether ISI Funds are given to Pakistan sympathizers in India

3. Pattern of ISI of routing money around the world

4. Connections between Pakistan agencies and establishments and anti-national and anti-social elements in India

This is a threatening issue for India for the following reasons:

1. Whether there are people who are funding Indians to spread anti-Indian thoughts all over the world.

2. Whether India is under threat by people living in her own land.

Amidst all this what we are oblivious of what is the plight of the Kashmiris who are in the real sense the victims. An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly that made the world community smile. A representative from India began: ‘Before beginning my speech I want to tell you something about Rishi Kashyap of? Kashmir, after whom Kashmir is named. When he struck a rock and it brought forth water, he thought, ‘What a good opportunity to have a bath.’ He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water. When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Pakistani had stolen them.’ The Pakistani representative jumped up furiously and shouted, ‘What are you talking about? The Pakistanis weren’t there then.’ The Indian representative smiled and said, ‘And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech. ‘And they say Kashmir belongs to them”.

A thought enters my mind at this juncture as I end. If money can be used to hold seminars to poison peoples minds, can it also be used to poison their lives?
