75 Year Old Spiritual Holy Man Lives with Fire – The Story of the Fire Yogi

December 9, 2014 by Editor 3 Comments

Meet Shri Rambhauswami of Thanjavur, India. He stands a mere 5 foot 3 and weighs no more than 43 kilos. The 75 year old pandit has been performing feats of unbelievable proportions since the mid 1970s. Below is a summary of his activities.

Guru: His Holiness Sri Rama Nandendra Saraswati Swamiji (1890-1989)

Mandate: The Fire rituals performed are for Global Prosperity, individual healing and Universal Harmony.

Siddhi: A 32 syllable mantra given to him from his Guru.

Ishta Dev: Shri Ganeshfire-swami-003

Shri Rambhauswami completes his Fire Ritual and emerges with little evidence of being impacted by the fire. Amazingly, even his shawl seems mostly intact. Dr E.F. Block (Neurologist, Austin, Texas) believes that: “Through the mastery of meditation, the Yogi is able to resonate with the qualities of kinetic energy. His aura seems to be protecting him”

On the topic of health and disease, the Yogi had this to say: “”The life source energy called ‘Prana’ is the secret to our existence. When Prana is properly regulated, no disease can attack you. Imbalance in Prana is the root cause for all our problems.”

Shri Rambhauswami plans to eventually give up food all together and reduce his body weight further so that he can eventually levitate while performing his Fire Ritual. The end goal beings Global Prosperity, individual healing and Universal Harmony.

Calendar of Life events:

  • 1961 – Starts performing this ritual with his Guru
  • 1972 – Stops regular food and switches onto Puffed Rice and milk
  • 1975 – Stops drinking water
  • 1977 – Starts a new diet of just 2 bananas and a glass of milk (twice daily)
  • 1979 – Renounces the regular family life and becomes a Yogi
  • 1983 – Rambhauswami’s contact with Fire increases dramatically
  • 1989 – Rambhauswami’s Guru passes away

Offerings in the Fire Ritual:

  • Ghee (clarified butter): 50 Kg
  • Wood Sticks (Mango, Peepul, Jackfruit): 400 Kg
  • Herbal Greens: 200 Kg
  • Dry Cow dung patties: 400 units
  • Coconuts: 50 units
  • Rice cakes (with Grated Coconut): 4000 units
  • Assorted herbs, sugarcane, lentil cakes, dates, rice, seeds, cashew nuts, fruits, and flowers.
