Florida, US (CHAKRA) – While addressing the media on Friday, Tiger Woods wholeheartedly expressed an apology to his fans and family for his irresponsible behaviour. He said “I am deeply sorry for the irresponsible, selfish behaviour I indulged in.” He spoke very seriously and sincerely. He did not smile for any part of the apology and step by step explained his wrongdoings, stating at the same time that there was no excuse or explanation for what he did. It was all a big selfish mistake, according to him.
He also stated that he has always tried to be private person but at the same time he is a public figure and that is why he knew he should be giving a public apology.
In the midst of his apology, he stated that as a child he was raised in a household which followed teachings of Buddhism and he followed them as well growing up. He stated however, that in recent years he lost touch with those teachings and that is what he needs for his spiritual and professional life—to find a balance.
“Buddhism teaches that a creation of things outside ourselves causes an unhappy and pointless search for security. It teaches me to stop following every impulse and to learn restraint. Obviously, I lost track of what I was taught.”
