Kalpasutra – Jain Text

The KalpaSutra is an important text in Jainism and contains the biographies of the Jain Tirthankaras, including Parshvanath and Mahavira. The spiritual and important texts are read and illustrated in an 8 day long festival of Paryushan by Jain monks for general followers. Only Monks can read these scriptures as in olden days regular people could not get their copy of kalpasutra as the ability to re-print was not available.
